Tour of Duty Painting Nikyla's painting titled "Never Forget" honors the sacrifices made by all the Emergency Services Workers who gave their lives to save others on the fateful day of September 11th 2001. The Tour of Duty Painting will go on permanent display in New York City when completed. After 6 weeks of drafting the concept and composition of the painting, Nikyla finally began drawing up the canvas on New Years Eve 2009. Five weeks later on the 7th Feb 2010 the canvas was ready for Nikyla to put paint to canvas and the Tour of Duty Painting was underway. The painting measures 1.9 meters high by 3.16 meters in length and when finished will contain the portraits and names of all the 343 Firefighters, as well as the names and ranks of the NYPD, Port Authority and EMT Offices who were killed in the attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York City.
