462 Squadron RAAF

MZ-461 Z5-G Halifax

MZ-461 left Foulsham to mingle in  bomber support with a diversionary flight made up almost entirely of aircraft from HCU's and OTU's and directed towards the north of France, It was assumed that MZ-461 was hit by flak as there was no further word heard from this aircraft. MZ-461 was lost at approx 7.50pm, wreckage of the aircraft was found at Anrater near Krefeld Germany, there were no survivors.
